About

A research lab that ships language technology.

Zirak AI is a next-generation research and engineering startup dedicated to bringing artificial intelligence to low-resource languages and dialects. Founded by specialists in natural language processing and computer vision, we build end-to-end systems so communities across South Asia and the Middle East can communicate, learn, and invent in their mother tongues.

The company

Zirak Technologies

Publicly known as Zirak AI, the company is based in Peshawar, Pakistan, and was founded in 2024. The work spans optical character recognition, speech, translation, and open language resources — starting with Pashto and extending to Dari, Urdu, Persian, and Arabic.

Vision

Every machine, every dialect.

We want machines that can read, write, listen, speak, and understand local languages, so speakers of underserved tongues can take part in the digital age. Linguistic diversity stays intact. Access to information, education, and economic life opens up.

Values

How the work is done.

Linguistic equity

Smaller language communities deserve the same class of AI support as global languages. Every language matters.

Open collaboration

We partner with universities, NGOs, and local experts, source data ethically, and co-create tools that match real needs.

Innovation and rigor

Algorithms are benchmarked and peer-reviewed. The papers are public. The claims are measured.

Sustainability

Open-source components and community practice build local expertise, so the tools outlast any single project.
